On deck lockers
With the high heat and humidity, these lockers were indispensable. If you kept your binoculars or camera lens in your air conditioned cabin, they would seriously fog-up when taken outside. Especially large camera lens can fog-up and take days to dry out.

I kept my camera lens in on deck locker and avoided condensation. First time I've seen this on boat or lodge.

The band played for us every evening for 1/2 hour before dinner. They played predominantly local, traditional music. All members of the Band were extremely accomplished musicians and their music was great.

Charango
Unique sounding instrument, and he was really good.
According to Wikipedia: 'The charango is a small Andean stringed instrument of the lute family, which probably originated in the Quechua and Aymara populations in post-Columbian times, after European stringed instruments were introduced by the Spanish during colonialization. The instrument is widespread throughout the Andean regions of Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, northern Chile and northwestern Argentina, where it is a popular musical instrument which exists in many variant forms.'
Village 'Dock'
Along the Amazon River and larger tributaries, the banks are mostly composed of eroding dirt and mud. The erosion is a continuous and natural phenomenon of the rivers. Villages lose a number of house every year during high water season.
